Garb is basically the costume you wear while participating in Amtgard. Garb in Amtgard is highly encouraged, as the use and application of good garb is important in creating the correct mood of battlegames and events.

Many variations of garb exist in Amtgard. Styles are usually determined by the playing class of one's character or persona. The majority being fighting and magic classes. Usually, all a person need is a T-tunic and basic pants/skirt (sweats work great too). Garb can be easily turned to armor by installing metal studs.

Garb is relatively cheap and easy to make, there are instructions in both the Amtgard Rulebook and Newbie Handbook. There are great examples in the how-to section and links section of this website as well.
